How much it costs to partillary paint a car where scratches are?

Hi

My car has been used a lot and therefore it has scratches literally all over the body. They are light ones but bigger ones include on the bumpers which letterally have a white kind of paint due to major scratch. I was just wondering how much will it cost if I get all this done as this is only a second hand car and I got it for 拢1500. Dont wanna spend a really high price.

Will painiting on its own be enough or will I have to get it all polished up if I want it to reallly look good? How much it costs to partillary paint a car where scratches are?
The only way to get rid of scratches all over the body is a full respray which will cost as much as the car is worth. Never spend big money on an old car, just accept it for what it is, a cheap way of motoring. You could try one of the coloured car polishes' they won't take the scratches out but will make them less noticable - and at 10 quid a bottle worth the try.How much it costs to partillary paint a car where scratches are?
half the price of a tin of paint + a paint brush.
the cars need,s a re spray . the value of the car, it,s not worth it why not tonse it up with a tin of spray paint from the auto store
A respray really isn't worth it - although will be the best looking.

Try a bottle of ';cut %26amp; polish'; (or similar) in a close colour - and give it a try with a soft cloth.

For black Bumpers - use a ';back to black'; type product.

This will polish out most.

If some scratches are deep enough to get your fingernail in, - then try this -

Buy a spraypint to match your bodypaint.

Buy a cutting compound %26amp; very Very fine silicon carbide paper. %26amp; a roll of masking tape.

Use the cutting paste along the scratch to remove any polish and waxes.

Clean with water %26amp; dry

Mask along the scratch - 1/2'; away each side. Use newspaper outside of this (use half the tape)

Mask off other bits of car with rugs or paper.

Apply several thin coats.

Remove tape and masking as soon as top coat has just set.

Next day - use the finest of wet and dry with water to remove ALL the excess overspray.

Leave for around a week to harden fully (drive as normal)

Use cutting compound on whole panel - then a coloured polish to finish.

If the scratch is to bare metal - use coarse abrasive to remove all rust - mask and apply a primer first. - Then finish as above.

Cost - around 拢12.
May I know the type of your car ?
