ok my grandmothers car got overspray on it and of coarse the car is black and the overspray is white so it has a bunch of white dots on it can you tell me some ideas of how to remove it? i have tried polish and it didnt work it has been on the car for about 5 weeks nowOverspray paint on black car!?
did you try polish or a polishing compound?
a polishing/rubbing compound is abrasive so it will remove it
regular polish isnt
also try a clay bar
and if you do use a compound, use a microfiber towel so you dont caue scratchesOverspray paint on black car!?
Go to your local paint and body store and get ';Meguires'; Overspray Clay and some ';Meguires'; Final Inspection spray.
You just mist a small area of the panel and wipe the clay over it.
The clay is very sticky and will pull the overspray off.
Overspray is easy to remove. I would recommend going to the place that did the painting and have the staff there correct this issue, or go to a reputable auto body shop for the correction.
sew whoever did it so you can bring it to a shop.!!!!!!!!!!!!
try t-cut, then give it a coat of polish.
clay bar or try some thinner if the clearcoat is still newer.
