Can pinstripes of a car be painted?

also, if we bought new pinstripes from an autoshop, would its quality be the same, worse, or better than the OEM pinstripes? also, would there be any physical differences in looks of aftermarket and OEM pinstripes? Differences that would probably make one want to stick with the OEM stripe? thanks. Can pinstripes of a car be painted?
Yes they can be painted on the vehicle. High end body shops always paint the pin striping on the show cars they build. After the final clear-coating of the paint. the pinstripe is then seamless with the rest of the paint.

Most aftermarket and OE pin striping is the plastic colored tape and is way cheaper than the painted version. There would be no difference the aftermarket or OE plastic striping. Can pinstripes of a car be painted?
Ok first i don't know anyone who puts factory pinstripe anymore. Second the preferred method is to get it painted on if you like it. You can also by the 3m';factory'; stick on pinstripe at almost every parts dealer.
After-market ones don't stick as well. Original ones might even be painted on.
