Chipped paint on new car? HELP!!!?

I recently got a new red honda accord about 5 months ago. I realized there is a small paint chipped off on the driver door. I dont know what to do because im pretty sure that it will get bigger and ruin the paint.

What can i do to fix this and/or make it non noticeable. This little chip makes me very mad :[ considering its a new car.

Heres a picture of what it looks like. its about the size of this text. O %26lt;that big

OH SH*T, A PAINT CHIP THE SIZE OF A PEA? JESUS CHRIST, THAT THING HAS PROBABLY MORPHED INTO THE INCREDIBLE HULK BY NOW!

lol, im just playing with ya...

looking at the chip, it looks extremely minimal...

newer cars are painted with several layers of paint.. usually 4-5 layers of primer, then paint, then clear coat (makes the shine and protects your paint)...

from the picture, it looks like you chipped the clear coat off the paint and probably 1-2 layers of the paint, however.. the paint under the chip still looks red, so i don't think you have even reached the primer (which is usually gray)....

(i could be wrong, you'll have to determine that, theres a little bit of a glare...)

so, as for rust, ect... no problem... its not a huge problem, and it won't cause any big problems in the near future... so you can relax, nothing is gonna happen between now and saturday...

Go to a local car parts store and pick up a small bottle of car detailing paint... it says on it, like ';H350'; or something... meaning Honda 350 (the paint code)... to determine the paint code, you'll have to look in your car manual... or you could research it online, look for your car and find out what colors were put on cars made during the same year your car was made... most cars have a sticker somewhere on your car that says it, but it could be anywhere, i wouldn't bother searching for it... anyways, the bottle comes in the size of like ... a nailpolish bottle... has a brush end and a marker end... just fill the chipped area and let it dry... i recommend dabbing a little bit of laquer thinner on the chipped area before filling it to make the paint stick better... also clean the area first...Chipped paint on new car? HELP!!!?
Buy some touch up paint and touch it up.
you can call youre dealer and they can tell you the number of the paint needed for the touch up
Go to the dealer's parts dept. and ask for a can of touchup paint or go to WalMart and pick up a spray can of DupliColor paint. It will hide the paint damage and prevent additional chipping and prevent rusting. While you're there, pick up a set of doorguard strips; they're usually available in clear, chrome or black. They simply slip over the edge of the door and prevent nicks and chips. I'd suggest the clear as they are the least noticeable. Good luck!
