have you tried a solvent free spray light oil like wd 40 ? that should soften most glues like sticker glue and then wash off with hot soapy water . apply it sparingly on a soft cloth , give it a short time to penetrate and rub away from the edge to the centre . i removed old company logo glue with this method , hope it works for youWhat can i use to take off glue like substance from my car with out it damaging the paint work??
Wd40 works a treat.
Get a valeter to giv it a machine polish, it will be as good as new.
Goo Gone works great. But if you have some charcoal lighter fluid handy, that will do a mahvelous job.
use a low heat hot air gun or hair dryer to warm up the glue so u can rub it off easilly.
Either Goo Gone or WD 40 will work.

Depends on the type of glue? Sticky residue from tape etc can be removed with white spirits, but if it is a hard glue it witt be very tricky. If your car has been waxed properly it may not have adhered directly to the paint so try something not too hard like a thumb nail to prise it off. If it wont come off with a little gentle persuasion get some fine wet %26amp; dry paper, wrap it around a flat block of wood then VERY gently rub at the glue. Check every couple of rubs that you are rubbing the glue where it stick out, not the paint! Dont worry about scratching the paint a bit as once you have got rid of the glue you will need to polish the area, just be carefull not to rub through the paint!


A lot of modern car paints are 'two pack' (though to be honest i dont know what technology manufaturers use these days). You shouldnt have scratched through the top clearcoat so use a cutting agent such as T-cut to polish the area (Finishing with a product such as Autoglym paint restorer may help get a finer finish) Then wax the area.
