No machinery! Just let it dry about 72 hours then wrap some 640 grit sand paper on a small flat block. Sand it very carefully flat then hit it with 1200 or some other fine grit wet-dry sand paper to smooth the scratches. Then rub some polish on it to add the shine back and then a coat of wax.How do i remove car touch up paint?
With what you have, use some lacquer thinner to remove the old paint and wipe down the area with it.Start with a very small amount and apply very small thin coats and apply it two or three times to the area instead of all at once.It won't leave as much of a glob depending on the size of the scratch.apply it evenly and with smooth strokes. If you want to make it look better use some 1500 wet or dry sand paper to ( WET ) sand the area and use a sanding block to flatten out the paint applied. Make sure the paint has dried overnight before you sand on it.Then go over it with some compound. It will take a lot of elbow grease to make it shiny without using a buffer if you don't want to buy any equipment.Your not going to get the professional look that they do in a body shop so don't expect it to look like brand new
really i know you dont want to use sandpaper, but thats your best bet if you want it to look nice. Just take it off and do it again buddy. good luck!
clay bar is the best and will let you re-apply and wont leave marks.
lacquar thinner and rubbing compound
fingernail file works wonders,
