Well ya auta be glad ya got a compressor. Back in the old days we usta use a bug sprayer pump you know the kind that has a can on the end and a handle that pushes in and out. Seriously I remember this guy did his car back in the 60s with this kinda pump. But nowadays they have the HVLP spry gun which takes 7 to 8 pounds of pressure you probably could paint a whole car with a 26 gallon comp. High volume low pressure Harbor freight store good luckHas anyone painted there whole car with a 26gallon 4hp compressor,if so how did it go?
That is way to small to paint a car with. 12.6 cfm , 60 gallon air compressor is the smallest Ive ever seen used to paint a car. Even then the compressor had a hard time keeping the spray gun demand up.

No way a 26 gallon compressor could paint a complete car.
i did a door and fender many years ago with a compressor about this size. Did it in very small sections, many coats lots of color sanding and orange peel.

It can be done with decent results but it is time consuming.
your better off with a roller/compressor tank and regulator for paint is much bigger than that
