Car scraped...option to paint it?

I scraped my car backing out on a yellow pillar, thus there are a couple of yellow paint-scrape marks on my side door. Will standard car paint do the job? Where can I find some? Thanks.Car scraped...option to paint it?

If it is just yellow paint and it is not dented then get some wax or something stronger and use some good old elbow grease and you should be able to get the paint off..
You could get lucky and use some lacquer thinner on a rag to wipe off the paint. If this doesn't work then try buffing it with rubbing compound. If you have deep scratches or dents in the area, then you probably can't get it out by yourself. Go to a dealership and ask them for an opinion. They can probably give you an idea of what you need to do and they won't charge you anything just for an estimate. If they do, then leave and go to another dealership. Standard car paint will fix the problem, but if you don't know what you're doing you will just make it look a lot worse by trying to fix it yourself. I'm not trying to be mean, but this is a fact. You will be better off with the scratch and yellow paint than trying to paint over it if you don't know how to paint a car. You can learn how to paint cars, but probably not from yahoo answers. Good luck!
