Simple test. Run your hand over the finish of your car after you wash it. Now wax half the hood with a quality wax. Now feel the difference. Dirt will grind into the paint, and waxing helps remove the dirt and protect the finish.

It is still a good idea to wax, yearly at a minimum. good luck
Waxing protects the finish no matter if paint or clearcoated paint. It is a good idea to wax at least once a year.
yes it's necessary if you want your car to last, you should wax it twice a year at least to help protect the paint and body from the elements.
Yes, It is always a good idea to wax your car. The clear coat only protects so much and the clear coat slow wears away just from normal driving and washing (this happens over a long period of time but still ) Also waxing helps fromtect from the heat of the sun, and if you live where ther is snow it will help keep the salt from eating at your car. Plus waxing makes your car look a lot better. I wax at least 2 times a year. Hope this helps
Wax protects the paint, I waxed my new car the second week I bought it, they don't really wax or polish your car from the factory
