$1,000 !, apparently you don't want the paint to last long, your talking an easy 4 to 5 thousand for a quality paint job that looks great and will last. How much is it to re-paint my car?

maaco

all this places offer cheap paint jobs for around 500 bucks it wont last forever but it will work.
just stick with the color you have

1000 bucks for a paint job definitely wont be any good
There are many 'Ifs' with your question. First of all, how good is

the body? How long do you intend to keep the car? How good

of a paint job do you want? How long do you want this paint

job to last? How adept are you at doing things on your car?

Would you be willing to fully prep your car so that a shop

could just do the painting? (Do you even know how much

work is involved in a professional prep job?

The cheapest quality paint jobs use the least amount of

preparation of the car. Any body work needed before prep

adds to the cost. (One very small dent, or any hairline

scratch, especially with black, will show up after painting)

You can get paint jobs for $200, and up. If you don't need

to have bodywork done, or whatever you need you do

yourself, and if you do any of the major preparation, a

pretty good paint job will cost about $1200.

When you consider the cost of a good acrylic enamel

paint starting out around a couple of hundred per gallon,

and the labor involved in preparation for a good job, not

to mention that amount of primer coats needed, it is

very easy to get the price over $2000.

Also, for a long term, good job, you don't want a paint

that requires a finish clear coat. Whereas this stuff is

pretty hard to prevent some nicks and scratches, it

also is not a very long lasting coating. The use of a

good hardener in a good paint works better this way.

A person can get carried away merely for the imagination,

the cosmetics, and some perceived prestige with such

things. The higher it imagination, and such, the more

costly. How about a $10,000 paint job?

In reality, a car always holds a better resale value if

it is kept in its original color. Changes take away

from its actual value unless you just get some numskull

brainwashed.
